meh with my easystar, of which the bixler is kind of a clone of, i just lay it down and push it full throttle so it’s actually sliding around on its belly, when it gets up to speed it actually lifts off so you don’t really need a landing gear with the bixler, just some tape on the bottom so you don’t scuff it up to badly
love the show .. but a 32 second intro is a bit on the long side..
I usually just skip to 35 seconds each episode… and im lazy
funny thing is that i usually toss it too high and have a real mess to clean up afterwards..

great show guys – here another tip, sure you heard about it already, but just in case, heard about it hear on the net and it works wonders…use your flap-switch or any other free channel on your controller to give the plane a little up elevator during handlaunch, like 3-8% (depending on the plane and wind conditions), prevents it from putting its nose down and give you a few extra seconds to get your hands on the controller…when your up, flip it back to normal and your good to go…
Almost bit the dust like you said, Josh. A successful launch is a good launch but don’t be afraid to throw it harder. Harder than necessary is better than too gentle.

I personally throw my wings open hand. Not 100% sure why but it just feels comfy and i can get my hand back onto my TX nice and quickly too.
Toss – Tossing in the UK is another word for male self pleasuring so….. Quite ashamedly I giggled like a fourteen year old schoolboy all the way through this episode. ” If you have a friend with you they can give it a toss for you and I tend to toss with my right hand” Sorry I know this is very juvenile but I just had to mention it.

This is good! Everyone flying a glider should know how to hand launch properly.
I hope you are doing this to teach RcFoamFighters, they launch the Phoenix Glider like the crappiest way you could imagine.
By the way, Josh, you need to launch it a little harder, to get a momentum, it almost nose dive there. Throw it like a spear.

Handlaunching a glider should be thrown like a spear, right into the horizon, with just little up angle.

Does this plane come with landing gear? if not can we install our own successfully? for example spare parts from a HAWKSKY or something…
